What
is so unique about Tess?
The wet slippery mucosa of the oral cavity causes washing
out of the conventional mouth ulcer formulations within
a few minutes after application. As a result patient does
not get enough relief and healing of ulcer takes a prolonged
time. Tess is a Novel Drug Delivery System which makes it
possible for the drug to stay on the ulcer for a longer
time as it sticks firmly on the wet, slippery and moving
mucosa of the mouth. It forms a protective film over the
mouth ulcer. It, therefore, ensures drug delivery and speedy
healing of ulcers.

Anti-inflammatory
analgesics:
Without
Buccal Paste Technology, the action is very short lasting.
Anti-inflammatory:
Inhibits
release of PAF, Prostaglandins, Leukotriene, etc. Accelerates
tissue repair: By a non specific action. Forms a protective
film: Protects the tissues from further damage

Anti-bacterial
agents:
Most
of the times, bacteria are not involved in causing the mouth
ulcers and use of anti bacterials can result in hypersensitivity,
super infection or resistance.
Herbal
preparations:
Have
not been scientifically tested in well designed clinical trials,
and, therefore are of doubtful efficacy. Local Anaesthetics
: The back of the tongue or the throat may become numb. This
can result in choking when swallowing food or drink.
